A bit of a rugby scrum when it comes to feeding time, it's hard to tell how many there are. Here are Lottie's 5 boys and 6 girls.

The puppies have been weighed again today and have all put on a good amount, even the two titchy girls. Click on each photo to see a larger image.
They're all there, although one of them is hidden down the side of Lottie's bum.
Cuddling up with mum.
Pups in the puppy pen while I cleaned out the whelping box.

I don't think people always realise just how noisy a litter of young puppies can be, so watch this video and listen to the row they make. I'd just put them back in the whelping box after cleaning it out and they were not impressed.

Below you can see them settling down for a nap.

Just look at that squidgy little nose.

08 Nov 2014
It's been a traumatic few hours. Lottie was violently sick last night, had the shakes, a very high temperature and was very lethargic. I eventually managed to get her temperature back down, she had a good drink of water and settled down with the pups. I went to sleep for half an hour and woke to the sound of the puppies squealing, with Lottie having come out of the whelping box. As I checked the pups I realised one wasn't moving. I tried for 20 minutes to resuscitate him but it was too late for the little boy with the green spotty collar. I've had problems with Lottie plonking herself down on the puppies since their birth and have had to continually rescue them, so I can only assume that's what happened this time. My heart goes out to the family who will no longer be able to have a puppy from this litter.  He’s now buried in the garden alongside the other puppies I have loved and lost.

All neatly lined up in the middle of the night.

Tucked up together while I clean the whelping box, the perfect box of chocolates.

Picture
All of the puppies are there somewhere, like the one hiding behind Lottie's front leg, though some are easier to spot than others.

Picture
All asleep after their late night feed.

13 Nov 2014

The video's a bit dark but I think you can still see (and hear) how keen the puppies are to be fed.

14 Nov 2014

Picture
The puppies' collars were getting a bit grubby so while they're in the wash they've been replaced by these temporary velcro ones. Lottie had to give them a full inspection.

This evening, as I picked up the puppies one by one, there were some little eyes peeping back at me. I'll need to be careful over the next few days when I use the camera as I don't want the flash harming those delicate little eyes.

15 Nov 2014

Picture
My youngest granddaughter, Isla, enjoying puppy cuddles.

Picture
The end of feed time, Lottie's looking very relieved.

16 Nov 2014

Picture
Back in their normal collars and chilling out after feed time.

Another VIDEO of the puppies showing them starting to get up on their feet. You can see glimpses of open eyes as well.

18 Nov 2014

Picture
My very own little dog whisperer, granddaughter Isla couldn't wait to get in with the puppies again.

Picture
Their first taste of goats milk.

Picture
The boys. In the box while I clean out the whelping box.

Picture
The girls. One or two if them still have the remains of the goats milk on them.

Picture
Owen and Luca doing their bit with helping to socialise the puppies.

22 Nov 2014

Picture
Lottie decided that sitting rather than lying down was more comfortable.

Picture
Moving away from the bowl after having some goats milk was just too much effort and a couple of the puppies fell asleep with their heads still in it.

Picture
It's granddaughter Eloise's turn for puppy cuddles today.

Martha decided the puppies needed an extra wash while I was cleaning out the whelping box and for once Lottie was happy to let her get on with it.

23 Nov 2014

The puppies had their first taste of solid food today. I soak the puppy kibble in hot water then mush it down to a runny 'porridge'. They didn' need any encouragement to try it and soon had full timmies.
Tucking in.
Full tummies and time for a nap.

24 Nov 2014

Picture
Lunchtime. What goes in one end has to come out of the other so the washing machine's going non-stop with the number of times the bedding's changed each day.

25 Nov 2014

A few photos taken tonight before bedtime. The puppies are now so big that I have to split them up into 5 puppies in each of the larger boxes when I clean out the whelping box. Martha thought they needed a wash while I was busy, she's desperate to get in with them whenever she gets the chance. Look carefully at the 3rd photo, you'll see that one of the pups has escaped from one box into the other.

26 Nov 2014

Another VIDEO of the puppies, playing after their supper, as well as a few photos.

27 Nov 2014

Annie sneaked in with the puppies
Martha's getting in on the action too.
Standing room only at the milk bar.
They don't take any tempting where the food's concerned.

29 Nov 2014

Picture
This little girl (the last to be born) quite happily snoozed on a visitor's knee for ages today.

A few photos from this evening, in the boxes while I was cleaning out the whelping box. A few of them had remnants of their tea on their faces until Martha stepped in and and gave them a very thorough wash.

30 Nov 2014

I know it looks as though they spend all their time in the boxes, but at the moment it's one of the few times I can get photos of them awake.

01 Dec 2014

A few photos of 'Auntie Martha' with the puppies.
The puppies needed more space, so this evening I've moved them through to a bigger pen in the dining room. They had a great time playing and exploring, as you can see in this VIDEO

02 Dec 2014

Watch this VIDEO of Ned taking his life (and certain parts of his anatomy) in his hands as he joins the puppies in the pen. He's such a gentle boy and very tolerant of those needle teeth.

03 Dec 2014

Another VIDEO of the puppies. Their play is getting quite rough and often involves lots of tail pulling and ear biting. Below are some of today's photos. The puppies are enjoying having more space and lots of toys to play with

05 Dec 2014

Picture
Granddaughter Isla and the puppies having an early morning chat.

06 December 2014

The puppies have had their supper and are getting ready to settle down for the night. As you can see in this VIDEO some of them are not quite ready to go to sleep just yet.

08 December 2014

Picture
My little dog whisperer came to visit the puppies again today.

Picture
Lottie tends to feed the puppies while standing now, but on this occasion she settled down in the pen with them,

09 Dec 2014

Late night fun and no sign of anyone going to sleep yet.

10 Dec 2014

The early hours of this morning and the puppies seems to prefer sleeping anywhere but on the cosy bedding.
Picture
Tea time!

12 Dec 2014

The puppies like to lie in some unusual positions, some in a group, some on their own.

13 Dec 2014

The puppies are having a busy few days as their new owners come to visit and choose which puppy will eventually be theirs. As you can see in this VIDEO, they've still got plenty of energy left for late evening fun.

15 Dec 2014

Some more group photos.
A couple of photos of suppertime. You can see in the 2nd photo the 2 girls at the back on the left have changed places. She might be the smallest, but the girl with the yellow collar soon pushed her bigger sister out of the way when she decided she wanted to eat of her bowl.

17 Dec 2014

A VIDEO of the puppies with my granddaughter, Isla, this morning.

The 2nd VIDEO of the day, this one shows the puppies outside for the first time.

18 Dec 2014

Picture
All snuggled up together in the small pen while I clean the main one.

The puppies had their first car journey today when I took them to the vets to be microchipped.

In the car ready to start their journey
Parked outside the vets, keen to know what's going on.

20 Dec 2014

My grandsons, Owen and Luca, stayed the night and the puppies were quite excited to see them early this morning, as you can see in this VIDEO  well as in the photo below.

Picture

21 Dec 2014

You can see in this VIDEO why toys don't last long in this house <grin>

22 Dec 2014

A few photos of the puppies relaxing.

23 Dec 2014

Trying to take photos of puppies at playtime is like trying to harness the wind.

24 Dec 2014

A short VIDEO of the puppies playing outside, as well as a few photos.
Back inside and ready for a nap.
Picture

25 Dec 2014

It's just another day for the puppies, they've spent much of their time splashing water onto the paper on the floor of the pen, I think they're planning on making paper mache. Watch HERE as they play this evening.

26 Dec 2014

Tomorrow, weather permitting, the first of the puppies will leave for their new homes so this is probably one of the last photos of them all together.
Picture

27 Dec 2014

Watch this VIDEO of the puppies as they experience snow for the first time.

The puppies are starting to leave for their new homes from today onwards, to keep up with their progress go to More of Lottie's litter 2014

29 Dec 2014

The puppies outside, they weren't in the least bit bothered about the snow and in fact enjoyed eating ice.

01 Jan 2015

The start of a new year and just 3 puppies remaining. In this VIDEO you can see them with Ned, such a gentle boy and below are a few photos, some of them with Lottie.

02 Jan 2015

The last photos of Banjo, Roger and Buster together before Banjo and Roger go their new homes.
Buster was the last puppy to go to his new home and here are some photos taken before he left.

"If I can't have my bed, then I'll make do with sitting under the table instead"
